Publishing with IEEE In-Person

Identifying where to publish your research can be a daunting task. Should you do a poster, a presentation, a conference paper, a journal article or all of the above? What is double-blind peer review, a green open access publication, a predatory journal and other publication jargon? In this session, Jalyn Kelley, Client Services Manager from IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), will join us remotely through WebEx to provide insights into what editors look for in a submission, why reviewers reject papers and tips on how to improve your chances of being accepted. She will also go over strategies for using the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, available through the Ball State University Libraries, for the literature review and staying up-to-date on the latest research in your field. This program will be helpful for students and faculty interested in publishing with IEEE or other scholarly publishers as well as those who’d like to learn more about using the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
