Feeling less than confident about your ability to ascertain the legitimacy of an online news article? Join the club! These days it is increasingly difficult to find credible information in an online landscape of fake news, satirical sites, and downright inaccurate reporting. Ball State University Libraries have arranged a panel of veteran media consumers, producers, and scholars from a variety of fields to engage in a critical dialogue about the prevalence of “fake news.”  Information Services librarians plus faculty from the Departments of Journalism and Telecommunications will share their professional experiences and opinions. Be prepared to receive expert tips and resources on recognizing false information in the media—so you can refine your media literacy skills and further develop your fakery finder!
