Copyright, Fair Use, and Your Course Website In-Person

Do you use a Canvas, Blackboard, or other website to share materials with your students? Then this workshop is for you! Copyright and Scholarly Communications Manager Perry Collins will discuss how copyright law supports educators through important provisions like “fair use” and the “classroom exemption.” Perry will offer tips and strategies for staying within the law, and you will learn how the Libraries can help you make articles, videos, and more available to your students online. Please bring questions and topics for discussion!

This workshop is part of the University Libraries’ celebration of Fair Use Week, an international event dedicated to highlighting and promoting fair use.

This workshop is open to both in-person and online attendees. You will receive instructions for accessing the event online approximately one week before the event.
