Making History: Women’s History Workshop In-Person

This workshop will highlight materials available from local archives and online resources. Staff from the Indiana Historical Bureau will discuss best practices for researching women and the historical marker program. Teachers and professors will find out about incorporating custom lesson plans and classroom activities. Historians and genealogists can collaborate and brainstorm about how to research and celebrate more women overlooked in history. Join us in-person at Bracken Library in the GIS Research and Map Collection or virtually via Zoom on Thursday, July 15 at 9:00 am (Eastern Daylight Time). The Zoom broadcast of the speaker presentations will conclude at 10:30, but in-person attendees can stay to brainstorm, collaborate, and create. Participants are invited to go out and explore Minnetrista, the Delaware County Historical Society, and the Carnegie Library in Muncie beginning at 1:00 pm.
