Locating Authoritative GIS Data Online Online
GIS Data can come from a multitude of sources, but finding accurate and up-to-data data is often confusing, and entails multiple searches and websites. Knowing where to look, and what to look for when searching for GIS data can make or break your research project.
Session attendees will learn how find accurate and updated GIS data via Open Data Portals, search ArcGIS Online for shared data, and use the ESRI Living Atlas. They will also learn about the importance of metadata and usage restrictions of datasets.
