Copyright in the Classroom Online

This presentation will help instructors understand how copyright laws influence their classroom instruction.  Attendees will learn about the basics of copyright laws and what they protect.  Attendees will learn about important copyright exceptions allowing for the use of copyrighted works in certain academic settings.  They will also discover how to appropriately use online content in their instruction, understand the factors surrounding “fair use”, and if necessary, how to seek permission to use copyrighted content.
